Question
1:
Is anyone pushing you to have an abortion if you get
pregnant? Do they threaten to leave you, throw you out
or withdraw their support of you either physically (i.e.
place to live, transportation, medical, or education)
or emotionally?
Question 2:
Are you unsure if you believe in abortion, but think
maybe it's the best thing "under the circumstances"?
Question3:
Are you under twenty years of age?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, abortion
could affect your emotional health.
This is for you:
when you love someone it's natural to want what they
want, especially if you fear that you might lose or
alter the relationship. But what if in your heart you
really want something different? Abortion might solve
a problem for the other person but creates many losses
for you.
FACT:
Abortion will not solve any relationship problems you
now have nor will it hold together an unstable relationship.
It is very common for relationships to break up shortly
after an abortion.
Are you a teen? Teens especially face a great risk
of having bad reactions after abortion. Maybe you never
thought you'd get pregnant. Now you just wish it would
"go away."
FACT:
Abortion doesn't make babies or the fact that you have
been pregnant "go away." You will have to
face the fact that you were pregnant and you choose
abortion with all its consequences.
You can choose abortion but you cannot choose the consequences
- they come with the territory.
